Our Miracle Home Success Story

This year’s “Dancing for a Miracle” was titled “A Decade of Dance” in honor of its 10th anniversary. The Children’s Hospital Foundation hosts this event each year to help raise money to find cures for so many kids who are sick and injured in Oklahoma. Each year, Children’s Hospital Foundation selects local celebrities and pairs them with professional dancers. This year’s theme was Disney. Terri McCaleb danced to “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” from Mary Poppins! So, how successful was the McCaleb team and the evening of dance?

McCaleb Homes involvement in “Dancing for a Miracle” was a huge success thanks to so many of our trade partners, donators, and the couple who bought our Miracle Home! McCaleb Homes was challenged to raise $100,000 that would be donated to pediatric research and education to help find cures for Oklahoma’s sick and injured kids. We decided to raise this money by doing what we do best and that is building homes. So, we built a “Miracle Home”.

Nate and Tracy W. purchased this historically inspired Farmhouse “Miracle Home”. They have a beautiful baby girl named Mia who will grow up in this very special home. The home sold for $399,900 and we were able to present a check for $101,360 to the Children’s Hospital Foundation through Dancing for a Miracle. The trade partners were the reason that we could present such a large amount to Children’s Hospital Foundation. Here is a big thanks to our trade partners for making such a big donation possible!

That isn’t all though! Thanks to the additional donations from the team, family members, and friends McCaleb was able to raise a total of $177,000.00 which set a new record! McCaleb placed first in the competition! We couldn’t have done it without the help and support of everyone! However, the most important part was that all together by the end of the evening “Dancing for a Miracle”, which is a spinoff of “Dancing with the Stars”, raised a total of $505,000.00! This also set a new record of amount raised! All the proceeds go to the Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Terri McCaleb felt that it was an honor to dance and fundraise for the little ones in need. Having three children of her own, she understands the love a parent has for their kids and what this would mean to many of those children’s lives. Having worked hard these last 6 months to raise this money we can only say THANK YOU from our hearts to the ones who made this possible!
